Abstractly Monochrome

I started working on an abstract design that originated from a noise applied to a volume inside Houdini. After playing around for a bit I came to this shape and decided to add a few particles to the design as well.

When I start to light a scene, I typically have been starting with gray materials so I can focus on just the lighting. When I started up the IPR it became evident that adding color or further texture to the design would take away from the beauty of the shapes, so I decided to leave it as is.

I did make an animation from this setup as well, but this was my favorite piece to come out of everything.
